Brief
In the light of fierce competition in the banking industry, clear cut brand differentiation is paramount. Diamond bank recently underwent a 360 degrees rebranding and she seeks to imprint this new refreshed identity in the hearts of her potential and existing customers.
The Opportunity
Digital Media opens new doors to greater realms of advertising possibilities. With social media at the heart of the digital advertising revolution, reaching defined target audiences has never been easier.
Our Role
Using one of our in-house digital advertising tools (PaidTrends), Wild-Fusion (the official digital advertising agency for Diamond Bank) sought to employ our services to achieve this exciting task. We set out to launch a 3-days pseudo-organic trend campaign on social media (primarily on Twitter) to cajole fans and customers to participate in the conversation and share their with other banks using the hashtag, #YouNeedANewBank
The Result
Conversations spiked almost immediately as fans quickly rode on the pseudo-organic trend. Creatively they crafted funny and factual tweets reporting their unflattering experiences with other banks.
In the first hour of the campaign launch, using social digital analytical tools, we reported about 1,814 organic tweets using the hashtag #YouNeedANewBank. The hashtag stayed atop at an average 5th position throughout the next 72 hours. A total estimated 48,000 people were reached and duly engaged.
